About the client
The client is a long-term, low-cost provider of American-produced liquefied natural gas. The company’s two Louisiana-based export projects service the global demand for North American natural gas and support the long-term development of clean and reliable North American energy supplies. Using reliable, proven technology in an innovative plant design configuration, their modular, mid-scale plant design will replace traditional designs as it allows for the same efficiency and operational reliability at significantly lower capital cost.
About you
You are an experienced engineer with 8 – 10 years of work in oil and gas, ideally with LNG or related hydrocarbon processing. You bring strong knowledge of plant equipment – including machinery, piping, vessels, tanks, instrumentation, and safety systems – and are familiar with standards such as API, ASME, ANSI, and ISO. You understand condition monitoring and risk-based approaches, and you are comfortable using tools such as CMMS, MoC (Management of Change), and PHA. Analytical, detail-oriented, and collaborative, you are motivated to contribute to innovative LNG projects that emphasize reliability, safety, and efficiency.
About the role
In this role, you will support the Operations Engineering team in preparing the facility for safe and reliable operations as it transitions from EPC to full operations. You will help drive Ready for Operations (RFO) activities, focusing on improving equipment reliability and shifting from time-based maintenance to risk- and condition-based strategies. Your responsibilities will include developing equipment strategies, supporting inspection and repair methodologies, ensuring regulatory certifications, and leading or contributing to Root Cause Analyses (RCFA) for plant equipment and processes.
