They execute projects from early-phase concept and studies through to construction, commissioning, and operations. The company specializes in maintenance, modifications, and operations support for offshore oil and gas facilities, with a strong emphasis on safety, efficiency, and technical excellence. Role Overview
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead and support complex, multidisciplinary projects and portfolios. This senior-level, hands-on position demands a strong understanding of systems engineering, cyber security, regulatory compliance, and project execution within the Norwegian Continental Shelf (NCS). The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in FEED and PRE activities, as well as expertise in Norwegian language and standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the technical delivery of large-scale EPCI and M&M projects, ensuring seamless system integration and adherence to regulatory standards.
- Provide senior technical leadership, acting as a discipline lead or technical authority within project teams.
- Drive system design and detailed documentation throughout the FEED and engineering phases.
- Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for System Control Diagrams (SCD) and cyber security architecture.
- Act as the Package Responsible Engineer (PRE) for multidisciplinary vendor interfaces.
- Interpret and ensure compliance with NORSOK, PSA, and other relevant NCS regulations.
- Collaborate closely with teams in automation, instrumentation, telecom, and IT/security disciplines.
- Participate in audits, design reviews, and technical risk assessments.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to competence development across the company.
- Work from our Stavanger office (100% onsite required) and actively contribute to the team’s success.
Required Qualifications
- 10-15 years of relevant engineering experience in the oil & gas sector.
- Proven experience in EPCI and/or M&M project execution on the Norwegian Continental Shelf.
- In-depth knowledge of systems engineering, industrial automation, control systems, and cyber security in operational technology (OT) environments.
- Extensive experience in FEED studies and serving as PRE on multidisciplinary projects.
- Proficiency in interpreting and developing System Control Diagrams (SCDs).
- Strong understanding of Norwegian regulations (e.g., NORSOK, PTIL/PSA standards).
- Exceptional communication skills in both Norwegian and English.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities with experience managing cross-functional engineering teams.
- Relevant higher education (MSc or BSc in automation, cybernetics, instrumentation, or related fields).
- At least 5 years of experience working as a Cyber Security
Preferred Experience
- Previous experience working with large EPC contractors or operators in Norway.
- Experience with digitalization and IT/OT integration projects.
