The client is a long-term, low-cost provider of American-produced liquefied natural gas. The company’s two Louisiana-based export projects service the global demand for North American natural gas and support the long-term development of clean and reliable North American energy supplies. Using reliable, proven technology in an innovative plant design configuration, their modular, mid-scale plant design will replace traditional designs as it allows for the same efficiency and operational reliability at significantly lower capital cost.
About You
You are a detail-oriented and safety-driven professional with hands-on experience in marine coordination, vessel traffic control, or related maritime operations. You thrive in dynamic, fast-paced environments where precision, communication, and situational awareness are key to success. With a strong understanding of marine logistics and regulatory compliance, you bring a disciplined approach to monitoring vessel movements and managing multiple stakeholders in real time. You are confident using marine traffic software, FCC radio systems, and Microsoft Office tools to ensure accurate reporting and effective coordination. Your ability to stay calm and make sound decisions under pressure allows you to support both day-to-day operations and emergency response efforts seamlessly.
About the Role
As a Marine Controller, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient flow of vessel traffic supporting the construction of a major LNG facility in Cameron, Louisiana. Working within the marine operations team, you’ll be responsible for coordinating third-party vessel movements, maintaining continuous situational awareness, and upholding all safety and regulatory standards. The position requires working shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, to maintain 24/7 coverage. From monitoring marine traffic systems to liaising with captains, port authorities, and internal teams, you’ll act as a central point of communication for all marine activity within the operational area. This role is ideal for someone who excels under pressure, values precision, and takes pride in contributing to safe and efficient large-scale energy operations.
