Title: Commissioning Engineer

Contract Type: 12-month ( Renewable) 

About the Role

We are seeking a Commissioning Engineer to join the Commissioning team, supporting both study and execution projects across the offshore energy sector. In this role, you will be responsible for following projects from the planning stage through to installation and testing of equipment on offshore platforms. You will collaborate closely with other engineering disciplines while receiving strong technical support within your own field.

Some travel will be required, both to supplier sites for equipment verification prior to shipment and to offshore locations during testing and handover. This position offers the opportunity to work within an experienced and highly technical environment, delivering best practices in maintenance and modification projects, operational and technical support, system technology, and major energy developments. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop boundary drawings in accordance with the defined Commissioning/MC structure

  • Create and maintain Commissioning and Mechanical Completion (MC) structures

  • Establish and write system testing procedures

  • Develop completion and interaction strategies, including testing and handover documentation

  • Perform commissioning activities offshore

  • Execute redline mark-ups and master updates during commissioning

  • Participate in Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs) and follow up with subcontractors

  • Prepare handover dossiers (RFCC / RFOC) and ensure proper documentation

Requirements

  • MSc/BSc in a relevant engineering discipline, or equivalent technical certification

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in project execution

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in the oil and gas industry

  • Proven experience and knowledge in EIT (Electrical, Instrumentation & Telecom) discipline

  • Strong multidiscipline understanding
  • Must be fluent in Norwegian
