About the Role
We are seeking an experienced LNG Project Consultant to provide expert technical and strategic advisory support across all phases of major LNG projects. In this role, you will act as a trusted advisor in both advisory and dispute resolution engagements related to large-scale capital projects—spanning design, fabrication, construction, commissioning, start-up, and operations of LNG, gas processing, and regasification facilities.
The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of LNG operational and project execution requirements, with experience on projects valued at $500 million+. You will bring a comprehensive knowledge of the LNG supply chain and infrastructure, including pipelines, gas pretreatment, liquefaction, power generation, storage, marine loading, and regasification systems.
Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a subject matter expert for LNG project execution, providing insight across technical, commercial, and operational aspects.
  • Support advisory and dispute resolution work through detailed analysis of project performance, design issues, construction challenges, and schedule/cost impacts.
  • Apply LNG operational requirements and best practices to design, engineering, construction, and commissioning phases.
  • Evaluate EPC contract performance, project controls, and risk management practices.
  • Interface with clients to communicate complex technical matters in clear, business-focused language.
  • Contribute to the firm’s knowledge base through mentoring, reporting, and lessons-learned initiatives.

About You

  • 20+ years’ experience in the LNG industry, including at least 5 years in senior technical or leadership roles.
  • Proven track record in major LNG project delivery (EPC or Owner roles) across design, construction, commissioning, and start-up.
  • Demonstrated experience in EPC contract planning, management, and project controls.
  • Strong analytical ability to assess capital cost, schedule performance, and their impact on delivery commitments.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of translating technical findings into actionable business insights.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering (other disciplines considered with relevant experience).
  • MBA, Professional Engineer license, or UK Chartership preferred but not required.

Preferred Experience

  • Construction, commissioning, and start-up of LNG liquefaction or regasification facilities.
  • Hands-on involvement in project troubleshooting, cost and schedule risk analysis, and dispute resolution.
  • Familiarity with corporate-level project governance and stakeholder management.
