About You

You’re a detail-oriented and analytical professional with a strong grasp of project cost control processes. You bring hands-on experience working within major EPC or oil & gas organizations, and you’re skilled in using EcoSys and Power BI to track, report, and forecast costs. You’re comfortable collaborating across functions, from project management to finance, and you have the communication skills to clearly present data and insights to all levels of stakeholders. Professional certifications such as AACE CCP, PMP, or similar are highly regarded.

About the Role

As a Cost Specialist, you’ll play a key role in supporting cost management and financial performance across complex projects. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and maintaining detailed project cost reports, forecasts, and variance analyses

  • Monitoring project expenditures and providing early warnings for potential overruns

  • Supporting the preparation of cost estimates and budgets for new projects and change orders

  • Collaborating closely with Project Managers, Planners, and Finance teams to ensure cost accuracy and financial transparency

  • Preparing and presenting regular cost performance reports to management and stakeholders

  • Reviewing and validating invoices, purchase orders, and contracts for compliance with budget allocations

  • Maintaining cost control systems and ensuring data integrity in cost management tools

  • Assisting in cash flow forecasting and identifying opportunities for cost savings and process improvement

This is a 6-month renewable contract based in Houston, TX (CityWest Blvd).
