About You

You are a seasoned contracts professional with at least 15 years of experience in engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract management for major offshore projects. You thrive in high-value, high-complexity environments and have deep knowledge of subsea packages, including SPS, T&I, UFR and SURF scopes. You have a proven track record in tender preparation, commercial evaluations, negotiations, contract administration, and claims management. With excellent English skills (French or other languages a plus), you are comfortable engaging with senior stakeholders, leading cross-functional teams, and mentoring junior contract engineers.

About the Role

As Senior Contracts Engineer, you will act as the focal point for all contractual activities on large subsea EPC packages ranging from USD 50M to 3B.
You will:

  • Lead and coordinate contract and procurement activities for assigned offshore capital projects.
  • Develop invitation-to-tender (ITT/CFT) packages, commercial structures and contract terms for complex procurement strategies (e.g. CCFT, OBE/OBT, FEED+).
  • Manage bid qualification, clarifications, exceptions, commercial evaluations and award recommendations.
  • Provide claims prevention support during tendering and early execution phases; advise on dispute and counter-claim resolution.
  • Oversee contract administration through execution, including change management, compliance, and governance.
  • Act as senior reference point for best practices, methods, and tools in contract engineering.
  • Coach and support contract engineers in their day-to-day activities, ensuring consistency and knowledge sharing across projects.
  • Liaise closely with the legal function to ensure alignment on project-specific contractual issues.
  • Consolidate and communicate lessons learned across projects.

This role is both strategic and hands-on, requiring a mix of technical contract expertise, stakeholder influence and leadership skills.
