About the Company
Our client is a global engineering and industrial solutions provider with a strong focus on sustainable energy projects. They specialize in designing and delivering complex offshore infrastructure, supporting the transition to cleaner energy sources worldwide. Known for their commitment to safety, innovation, and collaboration, they work on some of the most technically challenging and meaningful projects in the energy sector.
This opportunity is tied to a large-scale offshore wind project, where you’ll play a critical role in ensuring safe and successful hook-up and commissioning activities.
About the Role
As an Offshore HSSE Advisor, you will be the key driver of health, safety, security, and environmental performance for our hook-up and commissioning team. You will plan and lead pre-job activities such as toolbox talks, risk assessments, and pre-shift meetings, ensuring that the workforce is fully prepared and aligned with safety expectations. Your visible presence offshore will help create a strong safety culture, as you engage with personnel, identify hazards, and ensure compliance with Life Saving Rules and Process Safety Fundamentals.
In this role, you will deliver onboarding and orientation sessions, coordinate safety meetings, and participate in emergency drills and exercises. You will lead incident investigations, report findings, and ensure corrective actions are implemented. You will also manage PPE distribution, support control-of-work processes, and compile HSSE performance data to identify trends and areas for improvement. This is a 21/21 rotation-based offshore position where you will be a trusted partner to operations and leadership, keeping our people safe and the project running smoothly.
About You
You are a proactive safety professional with at least seven years of HSSE (Health, Safety, Security, and Environment) experience, ideally in offshore operations. You are confident leading toolbox talks, conducting risk assessments, and supporting hook-up and commissioning activities. You have a strong eye for hazard identification and are not afraid to step in and exercise stop work authority when something isn’t safe.
You are a natural communicator who can deliver safety briefings, train new team members, and build trust with crews on the platform. You thrive in dynamic, high-risk environments and take pride in fostering a strong safety culture. Your background may include a post-secondary degree or diploma in an HSE-related field or equivalent experience, along with knowledge of Life Saving Rules, Process Safety Fundamentals, and incident investigation techniques
