About the Client
The Client is a major subsea EPC operating globally on major traditional and renewable energy fronts.

About the Role
As a minimum, the Senior Pipeline Installation and Methods Engineer will be expected to:

  • Hold responsibility for the installation analysis process, from the project engineering phase to monitoring offshore operations
  • Deliver installation analyses for projects or bids, focusing on the suitability of the implemented solution while minimizing risks to personnel and equipment and ensuring cost control
  • Be responsible for supervising a team of project engineers in installation analyses for projects, FEED, or bids, providing technical guidance on specific subjects and ensuring the appropriateness of proposed solutions
  • Conduct feasibility studies and installation analyses independently for various rigid pipeline installation cases (pipeline, riser, structures) using S-Lay or Reel Lay methods, considering associated risks
  • Ensures that safety rules are considered at all stages of installation operations and comply with industry codes
  • Guarantee the quality of analyses delivered in accordance with Client specifications and project schedules
  • Interface with related disciplines and understand project team interfaces
  • Participate in determining the installation method (S-Lay, J-Lay, Reel Lay)
  • Support operations during installation, both in the office and occasionally offshore
  • Comply with safety objectives and on-site regulations
  • Promote a safety culture within their team from the project phase to offshore operational phases
  • Actively contribute to the department's development, engineer training, and knowledge sharing
  • Propose innovative solutions to reduce risks and costs

About You
The ideal candidate will:

  • Possess around 5-10 years' experience in Pipeline Installation Analysis
  • Be experienced in major offshore projects, especially offshore pipe-laying
  • Be familiar with the following:
    • Finite Element Analysis (essential)
    • Beam Theory and Material Physics (essential)
    • Python and VBA (recommended)
    • Orcaflex (essential)
    • Abaqus (plus)
  • Professionally speak English; French is a plus
